I have been working on ways to dress up the drab walls in our bedroom since we moved in last year. Hubbers and I purchased a floating wall shelf from IKEA for around 30 bucks and it's given me really an opening to try new and different 'art pieces'. I loved the idea of the 3D hearts when I saw it on this site, however I'm not prepared to spend 120 bucks on a fairly simple craft. I grabbed a frame from Home Sense, a piece of red craft paper from Michaels and some scissors and glue. It took about 20 minutes, and I love it! I know it certainly isn't perfect, the hearts are all different sizes, but I don't mind that at all. I think the end result is cute and whimsical; my shelf is now filled up with some artsy items. They will probably stick around until I get bored and start looking for more to do :D
