Sweet Sweet Seattle

So we reached two years of marriage - and I am telling y'all - marriage is the bomb-diggity. No joke, yeah sure, there are times when I unload the dishwasher twice in a row or I find socks and pepsi cans lying around the house (often within 12" of the recycle/laundry bin). But let's be honest; I'm no Saint of the 'picks-up-after-thineself' colony. I'm spending my days with my best friend; sharing laughs, memories, kisses, sicknesses, etc. with him.  I would so not trade this for anything!

In honorarium (word?) of our two years we decided to have a crab dinner.... and then we spontaneously decided to have a crab dinner in Seatlle!  It was such a fun trip, we flew in, spent an evening, two days, and a morning there, and then flew home. An extended long weekend worth a lifetime of memories. A really 'hip' place to visit - right up my ally as I'm an aspiring 'foodie' and so enjoyed every nook and cranny of the Pike Place Market.  The big city life is not for me however, and whenever we'd get tired or overwhelmed we'd just go back to our hotel and watch TV :) perfect compromise. I especially enjoyed a long walk to the Space Needle. It took us to a beautiful (maybe older?) part of town - not quite so bustly - with mature trees and little shops everywhere. We also spent an afternoon at the aquarium - the colours of the underwater world are absolutely astounding! My favorite part though - the food! (isn't it always?), Crab Pot, The Tap House Grill, La Creperie, and one of my faves that I can't remember the name (right off the dock, overlooking the bay)!
I'll let the pictures do most of the talking!

Some pub.... on the way back from the Space Needle
Keep the Mug for $1.50!

My favorite pic of the trip :)
Our hotel 'ice bucket' - awwww yeah!
